I wish it was a bit more affordable, because it is really handy and I would recommend to everyone. I live in Florida. It's our rainy season AND my husband builds docks for a living. This is the perfect size to hang in the entry way, where kids can hang their hats, shoes, anything to dry after walking home from school in the rain! Hubby throws his boots on it. It makes a difference within minutes. Takes minutes to dry gloves or hats. I appreciate the control and flexibility in the airflow. You can shut off all the parts you're not using to provide more flow to the area you need, like the feet. Different airflow settings, different temperature settings. The odor reduction really seems to help, especially with shoes. The whole thing is very user friendly, easy to set up, and even easy to disassemble if needed. The main head part can be used to dry or warm your hands. There is a lot of functionality in this unit and I'm actually very pleased I was given the chance to review this. My kids are constantly outside. These days they stay wet and I don't have to worry about their shoes stinking and getting ruined. Hubby can dry his boots for the next days use... and I'm thinking even warm them during the cold weather. Definitely a product to consider!

Okay…this thing is seriously bad to the bone! If you have wet shoes, gloves, cleats, or gear, this dryer is a game changer. One of my favorite features is that each arm can be individually turned on or off, which makes it super customizable depending on what you’re drying. It dries surprisingly fast, and I love that there are different settings to choose from depending on what you’re drying. The airflow is strong without feeling too harsh on shoes or delicate items. This would be amazing for athletes, rainy days, muddy shoes, work boots, or anyone tired of waiting forever for things to dry. It feels very well made and easy to set up. They call this thing a hedgehog, but it looks more like an alien to me. It's my new little alien buddy that breathes his hot breath into my boots and gloves! This little guy is awesome. It definitely looks odd and it will take up some wall space. I was able to find a spot in my basement that works well for it. There are 4 arms and two legs to dry out your gear. The arms and legs have shutters to close off air flow, but not individually - they work in pairs. You can close off the top two arms, and/or the lower two arms and/or the two legs. The arms are rigid and the legs are flexible tubes. There are quite a few settings for heat levels and timers. In my limited testing so far, I've found that this thing puts out a lot of heat. I'm really looking forward to using this for pre-warming my hunting gear next season, then drying everything afterwards. The controls are easy to use and it's fairly quiet.

This multi-wear dryer is awesome! It has multiple zones so you can dry only what you need. I really like that because I typically need to dry boots, gloves, and a hat all at once. If I only need to do boots, I can do that, only gloves, I can do that. This dryer has many options for heat, fan speed, time, and ionic. It doesn't keep your last setting which would be helpful but for me, in general, the lowest default settings work just fine. The mounting brackets work well, there is one for the base and one part way down the trunk so it's really stable on the wall. The only real negative, which is not really a negative considering what this does is, on the higher fan speed setting it can be a bit loud. Overall, this multi-wear dryer works great and can dry all of your stuff at once.

I have owned/tested lots of boot drying accessories and they are all about the same-mainly a hairdryer with a timer. Various iterations include attachments meant to pipe warm air into your wet clothing and I have found that this configuration is pretty efficient and easy to use. This device is meant to be permanently installed and wall anchors are included to do so. You need an electric outlet near to where you install it and a place to keep your boots underneath it while they dry. Because it needs to be attached to the wall, it isn't quite as versatile as more portable styles and you won't be able to easily take this on a ski vacay unless you are willing to MacGyver how you will use it. Assuming you are OK with installing this permanently, it is otherwise a pretty cool device, fairly compact in size and quiet enough in operation to not be a bother in the same room as you are watching TV. Airflow is somewhat less than a good hairdryer but more than sufficient to put out enough warm dry air to dry some gloves and shoes in just a few minutes. Various timing and speed (heat) options give you some control over how fast and furious the drying will be. As a value proposition, I am not impressed. I think it is a nice (maybe even cute) device but at the current offering not a great value at all.

I also like that it can be wall-mounted, which is a smart space-saving option for a mudroom, garage, ski area, or entryway. In actual use, it does what it’s supposed to do very well. It produces strong airflow, and it seems well suited for drying damp boots and gloves faster than just letting them sit out overnight. For anyone dealing with wet winter gear, workwear, or sports equipment, this is a very useful piece of equipment to have around. Overall, this is a well-made and effective dryer with good flexibility, strong performance, and a more premium feel than many simpler models. Not everyone has an extra wall in their house, that they're able to permanently deface with screw holes! 😳 Solution?? Take a ride to your local HD for 7 ft of .5" PVC pipe, and some PVC cement. Spray paint satin black. Problem solved! (AND considerably more mobile) Total cost: $11.87

I practice soccer every day without exception, my cleats unfortunately don't dry out by the next day. My goalkeeper gloves, on the other hand, stay completely damp. The discomfort I feel from wearing damp gear is beyond words, and I can't even begin to describe the smell. This shoe dryer is a masterpiece for those who regularly play sports, incredibly useful. It's very easy to use; I simply press the buttons on the menu to set the duration and heat level, and that's it. The installation took just 5 minutes. I opened the package, removed the protective plastic bags, connected the two legs, and then attached them to the machine. That's all there is to it. It’s wall mounted and has the capacity for four pairs of shoes.

The Portable Shoe Dryer by Hedgehog, is very functional shoe or glove dryer with many good traits. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying. I. Quality – The overall quality of this dryer is pretty solid, but nothing exceptional, with mostly plastic construction, that has a slightly above average feel to it. II. Installation – The assemble and install is quick, easy and should only take about twenty minutes. III. Performance – The performance is very good by producing fast, adjustable heat that can effectively dry shoe’s and gloves fairly quickly and effectively. It allows up to four pairs of something and is set up for easy operation. I don’t see this as being a great travel option, but I can see how it could be. I like that you can block the air from the tubes not getting used to redirect it to the ones you are. Overall, this is a great way for me to get things dry with ease, so they’re ready for next time or just to heat them up for this time. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. I picked this up after dealing with one too many soggy boots this winter, and honestly it’s been a pretty solid upgrade for my entryway setup. Living in the Northeast, between snow, slush, and rain, my shoes were always wet and gross, so I figured I’d give something like this a shot. First thing I noticed is how fast it works. It’s not one of those things where you leave your boots overnight and hope for the best. This actually pushes warm air through pretty aggressively, and I’ve had sneakers and work boots come out dry in under an hour, sometimes way faster depending on how soaked they were. That lines up with what they advertise about using high airflow and heat settings to speed things up . The adjustable heat is nice too since I don’t want to cook my leather boots. Big plus for me is the capacity. I’ve got multiple pairs going at once, which is great after a wet commute or if you’ve got gym shoes, gloves, or even winter gear to dry. The longer prongs are actually useful for stuff like gloves and even boxing gloves, which I didn’t expect to use but ended up trying. Another thing I didn’t think I’d care about but actually do is the odor control. It really does help cut down that nasty damp shoe smell over time, especially if you let it run a bit longer the first few uses . My mudroom smells way less like a locker room now. That said, it’s not perfect. It’s a little bulky, especially if you’re tight on space. I ended up mounting it to the wall, which helped, but out of the box it’s not exactly compact. Also, when it’s running at full power, you’ll hear it. It’s not crazy loud, but definitely noticeable if it’s in a main living area. There is a quieter mode, but it slows things down. Price-wise, it’s definitely more of an investment than basic dryers, so I wouldn’t say it’s a must-have for everyone. But if you deal with wet boots regularly or have a household with a lot of gear, it starts to make sense. Overall, I’m glad I bought it. It’s one of those things you don’t think you need until you have it, and then you wonder why you waited so long. Especially in winter around here, it’s been a huge quality-of-life upgrade.
